Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • At least Master’s degree in education, TVET, or any other field of study relevant to TVET

Experience: .

  • At least 7 years (if Masters) or 5 years (if PhD) of experience in TVET, particularly in project implementation;  
  • Thorough understanding on Nepal’s TVET system, policy processes and TVET project activities;
  • Good understanding on Nepal’s drivers of economy, poverty, employment and sectors with growth potentials;
  • Skills and experience in training/employment feasibility/labor market studies will be an asset;
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of TVET provisions including DCED standards will be an advantage;
  • Excellent communications skills in English and Nepali languages;
  • Experience with programme management and co-ordination and a proven ability to co-ordinate a complex matrix of development programme;
  • Understanding of UNDP policy and procedures will be beneficial;
  • Understanding and knowledge of basic computer applications such as MSWord, Excel and database management.

 Language Requirement:

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Nepali and English languages is required
