Job Description

Education: 

  • Advanced University degree from a recognized university in in law, human rights and governance.

Experience:  

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in legal aid, justice, rule of law,  and governance;
  • Experience at the provincial level government agencies will be an asset; 
  • Significant experience in province  level coordination; 
  • Profound review and analytical skill in law and governance;
  • Good understanding of current laws and policies on legal aid, justice sector reform and access to justice;
  • Practical experience in access to justice, legal drafting, legal or social/political research;
  • Experience of project management and implementation;
  • Demonstrated social skills of coordinating with different stakeholders and facilitating discussions;
  • Demonstrated skills on preparing quality reports and other knowledge products;
  • Experience of working in UN and international agencies will be added value.

Language requirements: 

  • Fluency in English and Nepali, both written and oral, at professional level is essential;
  • Knowledge of any of the local languages will be an added advantage.
