Job Description

Education:

  • Completion of Advanced Master's degree preferably in Law, Human Rights, International Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.

Experience:

  • Specialized knowledge in the areas of rule of law, judicial reform and on access to justice including in-depth familiarity with the international legal and policy framework and comparative international models and ‘best practices;
  • 7 years of experience are required in the field of rule and law, access to justice, justice sector coordination, legislative and judicial reform and human rights;
  • Previous work experience in South Asia and/or Nepal and working on issues related to transition will be considered an asset;
  • Previous experience with the United Nations System, including UNDP is desirable;
  • Working experience in the post conflict scenario will be preferable.

Language Requirements:

  • Demonstrated excellent command of spoken and written English.
