Position Title: Service Engineer – Heavy Equipment
Location: Dang, Far-West Region
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager / Regional Service Head
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, backhoe loaders, compactors, etc.).
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and perform corrective actions.
Ensure timely completion of service jobs as per company standards.
Maintain accurate records of service history, parts used, and job cards.
Support customers with technical guidance and training when required.
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.
Perform periodic inspections and preventive maintenance visits at customer sites.
Ensure safety compliance during all service activities.
Provide feedback to the technical and product team regarding recurring issues or product improvements.
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
1–2 years of hands-on experience in servicing and maintenance of heavy equipment or machinery preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electronics used in heavy equipment.
Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical schematics.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Basic understanding of service documentation and reporting.
Customer-centric approach with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in field conditions, including remote areas.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to travel frequently within the Far-West region.
Two-wheeler license preferred; driving heavy machinery is a plus.
