Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Security Investigator (Foreign Service National Investigator). This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No

Reimbursed: Occasional Travel

Travel Required: Occasional travel may be required.

Job Specification

Requirements: EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security, or investigation is required

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of the local and regional judicial system including criminal laws and procedures, and laws regarding marriage divorce, adoption and military service is required. Knowledge of investigative techniques is required.

Education Requirements: Two years of university studies is required.

Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities)

LANGUAGE: Good Working Knowledge speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid local Class B driving license is required. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting is required.
