Job Description

  • The incumbent serves as Mobile Patrol Supervisor for all U.S. government facilities and leased residences by providing security oversight to a rotating guard shift ensuring that U.S. government property and personnel are safeguarded.
  • The incumbent provides operational oversight of Mobile Patrol and residential guard posts. 
  • The incumbent provides assistance to Shift Supervisor to manage Residential Patrol Program and oversees "GEMS" monitoring software.
  • The incumbent develops daily work schedule for Mobile Patrol Unit.
  • The incumbent directs Mobile Patrols to alarms, calls for assistance, and suspicious persons. 
  • The incumbent responds to all COM residences that require an alarm system and U.S. government properties where alarms are monitored.
  • The incumbent acts as a first responder to all traffic accidents with official vehicles and accidents involving COM personnel. 
  • The incumbent generates and submits written reports concerning significant or unusual incidents through chain of command.
  • The incumbent provides security for Embassy personnel and facilities by conducting access control and visitor screening duties as a member of a local guard program.

Requirements:

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.  
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum three years of experience in the military or as a police officer, or security guard is required.

Language: Limited Knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.  Good Working Knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required.

Skills And Abilities: Ability to understand the security control panel and to operate emergency alarms and the public address system.  Ability to use state-of-the-art security and radio communication equipment.  Ability to walk and/or stand for an extended period of time in a wide variety of weather conditions.  Ability to work flexible shift schedules, to include nights, days, weekends, and/or holidays is required. A valid Class B (Car, Jeep) driving license is required.
