CONTRACT TYPE: One year fixed term contract based in Kathmandu

PHP Deputy Team Leader – Six months (extendable) fixed term contract based in Nuwakot.

 

Job Purpose: As part of the Public Health Promotion Team support the technical design, implementation and monitoring of accountable public health promotion and community mobilisation programming adhering to minimum humanitarian standards. This will include working with the EFSVL and PHE counterpart to maximize Oxfam’s humanitarian assistance among the earthquake affected population as well as technically support Oxfam’s implementing partners if required.

 

Responsibilities:

This position will require supporting the PHP team to carry out community mobilisation related activities with all trained Female Community Health Volunteer/FCHV, social mobilisers, sanitation volunteers and water user committee in the community. You will also require to carry out overall programme implementation activities in defined areas and sites of intervention adapted to the context and population needs and contribute to field testing of pre designed IEC materials and developing the additional IEC materials.

 

Requirements:

Masters degree in public health and one or more other relevant areas (e.g community development, community water supply, adult education), with at least 3 years of work experience/ Bachelors’ degree in public health or relevant areas with at least 5 years of work experience.
