District WaSH Team Leader (Re-advertisement)

Level – C2: One year fixed term contract (extendable) based in Nuwakot
Job Purpose: To coordinate and provide technical guidance to the Public Health Engineering and Public Health Promotion teams at district level in the implementation of appropriate and quality WaSH programme activities targeting the earthquake affected areas in the respective districts.
The Role:
You will require assessing, planning, designing and implementing the most appropriate form of water supply, sanitation and community health mobilisation, in consultation with the District Programme Manager, PHP & PHE Team Leaders and with guidance from the National WaSH Coordinator. You will also require developing work plans with staff and Partners to ensure effective implementation of the programme in different phases as required (Early Recovery, Recovery, Reconstruction, Longer Term development) and ensuring integration of PHP and PHE teams as well as their coordination with EFSVL, Gender/Protection and Shelter teams at programme design, implementation and monitoring stages.
Requirements to apply for this role are:
Suitable (graduate level) qualification in any discipline related to public health, engineering, WaSH with a minimum of 5 years of proven practical experience. Experience could substitute for a formal education, but not vice versa.
