EFSVL (Emergency Food Security and Vulnerability Livelihood) Coordinator - Readvertisment

 

  Contract Duration: For One year with possibility of extension.

 

  Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

 

 Level – C1

 

 Salary – Competitive salary and benefit package

 

Job Purpose: Ensure the coordination, oversee the management and support technically the implementation of Emergency Food Security and Vulnerability Livelihoods (EFSVL) activities in the operational districts of Nepal.

 

The Role:

As EFSVL Coordinator, you will require to update EFSVL strategy following the evolution of the people’s needs in direct coordination with the Humanitarian Programme Director and support technically the District EFSVL Team Leaders with the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the EFSVL programmes. You will also be required to identify opportunities of scaling up and ensure these are coherent with the rest of the programme, work closely with WASH, Shelter, gender, logistics, finance, admin, HR and Oxfam region partners as well as relevant external agencies.

 

Requirements to apply for this role are:

To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker and have good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. You must be professionally qualified food security and livelihoods programme manager, preferably with experience in a large and / or complex organization, and the ability to influence and support colleagues in appreciating the importance of financial standards, procedures and controls. You must also have knowledge in working with implementing partners and how to build capacity. You will have Master’s or Bachelor’s in Agriculture, Rural or Urban Development, Economics, Social Studies with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in relevant field.
