Job Description

Cash Operations (Roving) – One year fixed term contract based in Kathmandu

 

Job Purpose: Ensures high quality cash transfer programming in line with generally accepted standards, supports the operation and implementation of cash transfer programming and works with technical sectors to develop cohesive strategies for the use of cash to achieve program objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

This position will require adapting to context specific guidelines for Cash Operations and provide technical support to EFSVL district team leaders and sector coordinators on cash transfer interventions. You will also require to support the process and management of cash transfers in areas affected by Earthquake, ensuring that operational aspects of projects and reports are delivered according to Oxfam GB and donor contractual requirements, within the agreed timescale and budget.               

 

Requirements: 

Master degree in business, economics, political science, rural finance, humanitarian assistance, development or relevant field experience, ideally with previous training in CALP 1 and 2.

Minimum 3-5 years in similar positions/experience (programme support, field-experience) including a variety of cash modalities, i.e., cash for work, vouchers and large scale cash distributions.
