Job Description

The Role:

Project Coordinator-WaSH is responsible for ensuring technical quality of all the WaSH intervention in Gorkha and Dhading. The work may involve, in an implementation of public health measures required to alleviate the plight of the people affected by the earthquake.

Programme Coordinator-WaSH will be working to implement water supply system and ensuring the affected households meet their demands for safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene practices

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam's values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Graduate in civil engineering that provides an understanding of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience with practical delivery of sustainable WASH project.
  • Ability to present concise reports, sometimes at short notice, reflecting the problems and possible solutions for particular situations
  • Basic understanding of WASH Emergency response/recovery and experience in applying sphere standards.

Along with this, for this role we are looking for someone with significant practical and management experiences in any of the following fields; participatory approaches and tools, field assessment tools and its analysis, monitoring, public health and/or community WASH projects.
