Level – C2: Fixed term contract until March 2018 based in Kathmandu.
Job Purpose: Ensures that Oxfam financial policies and procedures are applied efficiently and effectively and ensures all budget holders adequately understand and follow these policies.
The Role:
You will require ensuring accounting systems, policies, internal controls and procedures are well-established and maintained across the Country Program for the collection of accurate, complete and timely financial data. You will be responsible for managing finance people, preparing monthly financial reports, budget monitoring reports, reviewing and verifying payroll computations, monitoring and reconciling pension deductions / contributions as well as income tax withheld; ensuring that the taxes withheld (Income Tax, VAT etc) are deposited with the relevant authorities in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring seamless implementation and application of financial controls across the Country Program to minimize the risk of fraud or theft.
Requirements to apply for this role are:
Strategic thinker with good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. Recognized professional qualification in accounting and finance such as CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in core financial management activities, such as: budgeting, forecasting and reporting is required.
