Cash Operations Coordinator (Roving)

 Applicable for Nepali Nationals only.

Level: C2

Duration: One year fixed term contract with possibility of extension

Location: Kathmandu

Job Purpose:

As a Cash Operations Coordinator, you will be required to ensure high quality cash transfer programming in line with generally accepted standards, supports the operation and implementation of cash transfer programming and works with technical sectors to develop cohesive strategies for the use of cash to achieve program objectives. You will be required to support the process and management of cash transfers in areas affected by Earthquake, ensuring that operational aspects of projects and reports are delivered according to Oxfam GB and donor contractual requirements, within the agreed timescale and budget. You will also be required to work closely with partners on Cash based interventions in terms of designing and deciding payment mechanisms, instruments, cash transfer risk assessment & management, and capacity building / on job training to Oxfam &  partner cash transfer staffs  in Emergency Food Security & Vulnerable Livelihood .

 

Requirements for the role:

Master degree in business, economics, political science, rural finance, humanitarian assistance, & relevant other discipline; development or relevant field experience, ideally with previous training in CALP 1 and 2.Minimum 3-5 years in similar positions/experience (programme support, field-experience) including a variety of cash modalities, i.e., cash for work, vouchers and large scale cash distributions.Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relations with multicultural and multi ethnic teams, including working with partner organisations
