Job Description

1.Productivity

  • To ensure that all relevant costs (Revenue, Overheads, inventories, wastes) are    within targets and improving in line with targets / standards.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance quality, productivity, safety, hygiene, housekeeping, etc.
  • Recovery, wastages and down time of plants to be given top most importance as per attached sheet.
  • Ensuring all daily/monthly production reports reaches to concerned timely

 2. Quality

  • To ensure that the quality of the product manufactured (finished product) is as per standards through establishment and review of quality systems.
  • Implement Quality Control measures and Standards at all points of manufacturing process
  • To lead various task forces to improve quality & productivity

3. Planning Scheduling and Monitoring

  • Development of the Production plan from the unit objectives and synergizing action plan within the team and Factory head, to meet them to ensure targeted volume of production in met in time.
  • To monitor systems and procedures in the various functions in production so as to ensure smooth, safe, efficient and effective production operation.

4. Commercial Management

  • To ensure man power cost as per standard.
  • Discuss with commercial store to ensure inventory for production plans.
  • To monitor commercial activities like inventory, dispatch, FIFO practice.
  • To monitor liquidation of slow and non-moving items
  • FIFO implementation.
  • Ensuring that all daily/monthly reports reaches to HO/account timely to unit head fully.

5. Coordination and Teamwork

  • Guide the section to achieve desired results & ensure resources are focused, in synergy with other departments.
  • To ensure that the team remains committed towards continuous improvement by allowing new ideas / thoughts to be explored.

6. Manpower Management

  • Ensure smooth workflow between all shift in charge and executives.
  • Control Overtime deployment of workers by ensuring effective time and shift management of workers in all departments
  • Identifying training need and arrangement of the same.
  • Ensure Utilization of manpower and OT as per std. fixed.

7. Engineering Practices

  • Ensure Preventive Maintenance Schedule is adhered to.  Proper log book is maintained of machine unit for future reference
  • In case of breakdown, ensure it is attended to and rectified at lowest response time
  • Energy audit and best possible utilization.
  • Ensure the high overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

 8. Hygiene, Sanitation and House Keeping

  • Ensuring sanitation, hygiene and cleanness of production plant and outside surroundings.
  • Maintenance of factory premises and plant as per 5S practice.
  • Employee’s hygiene monitoring.

9. Best practices and Benchmarking

  • Ensure “Good Manufacturing Practices” and Manufacturing Excellence Scoreboard is benchmarked.
  • To benchmark and introduce contemporary manufacturing practices and systems on ongoing basis.
  • Ensure activities and progress of GME, SGIA, PCPPU and sustain 5S.

10. Adminstrative Activities

  • Employee’s attendance, absenteeism, discipline.
  • Coordination with administration for staff welfare like dress.
  • Periodic review and manpower performance.

11. Training and development

  • Enable a learning environment that stimulates creativity, innovation & continual improvement. Energize the thought process of the team through constant training, motivation & channelized communication.
  • To ensure appropriate development of people (employees, ICs, Trainees) so that desired levels of performance and appropriate levels of skills and knowledge is maintained.
  • Identify gaps in skill requirement for present & anticipated needs. Prepare & arrange training programs & request superiors to conduct the programs.
  • To develop sub-ordinates by providing guidance, mentoring and trainings (classroom or practical).
  • Impart at least 96 hours of training to executives & operatives. 
  • Impart 4500 man hours training to workers and operators.

12. Market Complain

  • Analysis of market complaints and CAPA
  • Timely follow up of market complaints for correction
