Job Description

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. Preferably Master’ degree with profound knowledge and experiences on governance and local planning process.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

  • Has worked with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
  • Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
  • Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
  • Has worked with technical teams (such as livelihood and assets, capacity building etc.).
  • Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
  • Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in local governance sector.
  • Having experience of working in donor funded project and a multi-disciplinary team will have an advantage.
  • Having adequate competence in communication, analysis, planning and reporting in English language.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills on MS Office (word, excel and power point).
  • Willingness to spend at least 50 percent of his/her time in the programme area
