WFP Nepal is in the process of scaling up cash-based food assistance programmes to vulnerable communities in Nepal. In order to achieve this, WFP plans to increase the use of innovative approaches, transfer modalities and technologies to support these programmes in Nepal. The country therefore seeks in-house capacity to ensure that beneficiary registration and transfer management activies are thorough, effective and efficient; existing business critical systems are supported, scalable and well-adapted to WFP’s evolving needs.
In line with the country office objectives, WFP Nepal requires an IT Operations Assistant to support the implementation of technologies and processes to support cash-based activities.
Education: Secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses in information systems and business or other related studies.
Language: Proficiency (read/ write/ speak) in English and Nepali.
