Job Description

I. Deputy Operations and Information Manager (One) based in National Office, Lalitpur (Until June 2018)

Key Responsibilities: To support into program implementations to the district teams for smooth operations and ensure appropriate reporting systems to provide authentic information on Nepal Earthquake Response programs/ operations and resources. S/He should support the District Managers to ensure delivery of projects activities on time and with high standards. S/He should be able to implement all Grant projects within the specified timeline in coordination with Sectors Managers and District Managers. S/He is required to proactively identify and provide solution to operational blockages. This role requires proper coordination with various departments, local Government authorities and Media to ensure requirements are met.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: A Master's degree in social science, development studies or, related area with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with more than 5 years of experience; Should have ability to set priorities and undertake new tasks quickly, self-motivated and have clear sense of direction; Proven management and leadership skills in order to work and manage staffs with strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve; Should have strong critical skills of financial data and figures on budgets & activities; Must have strong task management skills including attention to details; Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.This role will require to travel to remote areas for 25% of the time.

Core competencies for the positions: Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Must exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
