Job Description

*Position is subject to funding approval.

Our Global Relief Response team, together with our WV Nepal staff, are responding to meet the needs of children and their families hit hard by the devastating earthquake.  We are looking for replacements for nine key roles to take over their work on a longer term basis.

World Vision is responding with relief efforts after a deadly 7.8 earthquake struck Kathmandu and surrounding areas in Nepal on April 25, 2015.

According to government reports, the quake killed thousands of people and that number is expected to rise. Thousands more were injured and left homeless by the massive earthquake across three other countries - China, Bangladesh and India - in the region.

World Vision has been operating in Nepal since 1982 by providing health-care, relief response to natural disasters, and long-term development work. We are currently seeking professionals to join our global humanitarian response in Nepal, who are passionate about protecting lives, restoring dignity and renewing hope, especially among children affected by conflict and natural disaster.

The Program Manager oversees the Programming Team, including Program Officer(s), DME, and Humanitarian Accountability. The PM supports the Response Manager and Operations Manager in designing the response strategy and operations plan. The PM is responsible to manage grant acquisition, assessments, monitoring and humanitarian accountability.
