Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position

Position: Consortium Project Manager (SIKAI Project) based in National Office, Lalitpur

Purpose of the role: The Consortium Project Manager will provide overall leadership and management of the implementation of the Strengthening Inclusive Education in Nepal (SIKAI) project. S/He will work closely with the relevant external, internal and community partners coordinating the delivery of project outcomes ensuring quality standards through facilitation of consortium meetings, ensure appropriate resources (human and financial) mobilization and manage project financial budgets and targets. S/he will build and strengthen working relationships with project stakeholders, engagement and provide effective communications at all levels. S/he will also be responsible to represent consortium in meetings with donors and other relevant agencies at national level.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required for the position: A Master's degree in Social Science or relevant discipline with at least 5 years of experience working in project management role in national/international NGO; Must have extensive experience and expertise in models and methods of training. facilitation and capacity building and organizational development for staffs, communities and government stakeholders: Should have demonstrated experience of leading/ managing/working in consortium based projects at national level; Must have thorough understanding and experience about Nepal Government's strategies, policies, guidelines on early grade reading: S/He should have strategic, creative, and innovative thinking as well as problem solving skills: Demonstrated experience in capacity building and different approaches to building capacity; Must have language fluency both in Nepali and English. Maithili proficiency will be an added value for this role. Experience in using logical frameworks and project monitoring: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will be required: Willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty. self-motivated, confident. multitask and able to work independently. This role requires to travel to field areas for about 20% of the time.
