Job Description

Key Responsibilities: As a project leader with field-facing responsibilities, the Project Coordinator will play an active role in identifying GBV issues affecting vulnerable groups and supporting locally based GBV prevention and response initiatives conducted by partners and informal and formal community groups and structures. Integrate gender into project activities in planning with Project Director and individuals in the community and ensure gender targets are included and being measured by the project; Ensure the implementation of activities as per the design, Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs), and budgets; Represent the project at meetings of stakeholders, joint agency assessments, regional events and task forces to develop and maintain good relationships in order to share best practices and identify ways to improve the project;

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Public Administration, International Development, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience preferred in project management of United States Government (USG) grant, cooperative agreement, and/or contract requirements including activities coordination and implementation; Experience building relationships and working with local authorities, national ministries, host country professionals, and donor colleagues in country; Willingness to work at remote field project sites with additional travel in country as required;

Core competencies: Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
