World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:
1. Position: Sr. Grants Acquisition Specialist (One)-based in National Office, Lalitpur (Short term until 30, May 2018)
Key Responsibilities: To work with staff from across WVIN (e.g. Operations, P&C, Finance and Programmes) and the WV partnership (e.g. staff from Support and Regional Offices) to support growth in new funding acquisition through the identification, development and timely submission of quality concept notes and proposals for both institutional grant funding and private non sponsorship funding. This position is generally expected to lead proposal development, but in some instances may be requested to provide coordination support, depending on the opportunity and workload at the time.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: A Master’s degree in Social Science with 3-5 years’ experience in INGO (preferably an International Master’s Degree) or Bachelor’s Degree with more than 5 years of experience in Programme Design, Monitoring and Evaluation; Experience of developing concept notes / proposals for institutional donors.; Excellent analytical skills and ability to quickly grasp complex programme concepts across a range of sectors; Must have strong research skills.
Core competencies for the position: Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
