Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Direct and oversee World Vision's work in an assigned program, ensuring that all program goals are met on time and within budget; Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner, and suggest appropriate program adjustments to the Chief of Party; Ensure grant/project expenses are well managed; Ensure strong staff management practices, consistent with WV policies, donor requirements and local laws; Establish and maintain effective reporting, evaluation, and internal communication; Networking and Liaison with different stakeholders as appropriate to have strong representation of grant;

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: A Master's degree in development sector, preferably public health, or a Bachelor's degree, preferably in public health with 8 years of experience in managing health (maternal, new born, child health and/or family planning) activities, in Asian context and preferably in Nepal; Proven technical knowledge in maternal, new born, child health and family planning and in relationship to the cross-cutting objectives of the activity; Sufficient managerial and administrative experience to be able to deputize for the CoP in his/her absence; Experience in monitoring and evaluation work for in large, complex, and multifaceted health development activities; Demonstrated ability to articulate technical information clearly and effectively and in flexible and adaptive programming.

Core competencies: Must have previous experience of managing USAID grants successfully; At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing and managing large and complex projects involving multiple partners, in/for developing countries; Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
