Project Assistant-1(pos)

The International Organization for Migration is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following positions based in Kathmandu.

Position Title: Project Assistant - 1 position

Classification: Grade 3

Type of contract: Special, 6 months with possibility of extension

 

General functions:

Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and in close liaison with the labour migration team, the selected candidate will assist in the implementation of the project on “The role of remittances as effective development finance for sustainable development in Nepal”.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Assist with logistical arrangements for trainings/workshops/field visits and Project Steering Committee meetings.
  2. Draft invitation letters of the workshops/ trainings/ meetings.
  3. Draft meetings´ minutes.
  4. Maintain the project files and correspondence records updated.
  5. Assist to maintain liaison with the project partners.
  6. Participate in the research related field visits as required.
  7. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

General Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  1. A Secondary School diploma from an accredited educational institution is required.
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  3. Effectively coordinates actions with other implementing partners.
  4. Delivers on set objectives in hardship situations.
