Job Description

Human Resources Clerk -1(pos)

The International Organization for Migration is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following positions based in Kathmandu.

Position Title:               Human Resources Clerk - 1 position

Classification:              SAI, 6 months with possibility of extension, ungraded (equivalent to Grade –3)

 

General functions:

Under the overall supervision of the Resources Management Officer and direct supervision of Senior Human Resource Assistant the incumbent will be responsible for providing human resources’ support to IOM Kathmandu.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. In coordination with the other HR staff, provide human resources support to IOM Kathmandu.
  2. Maintain leave records of EQ Response staff in Kathmandu and provide reports to supervisors as and when required.
  3. Maintain the file and log book for travel authorization.

4.    Provide assistance on recruitment process (schedule interviews, reference checks etc.)

5.    Ensure personnel files and HR files and documents are well maintained.

  1. Ensure and follow up on ID cards, medical insurance cards and MSP application forms that need to be submitted by staff member.

7.    Timely dispatch mail pouch to Hub Offices, Damak and Manila.

 

  1. Perform other related duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Secondary Education is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
