Admin Finance Assistant-1(pos)

The International Organization for Migration is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following position based in Chautara, Sindhupalchowk.

Position Title:               Admin Finance Assistant – 1 position
Classification:              SAI, 3 months with possibility of extension, ungraded (equivalent to Grade – 4)
 
In response to the major humanitarian crisis caused by an earthquake in Nepal, IOM is mobilizing staff to assist the people and authorities of affected areas.
 
General functions:
 
Under the overall guidance of IOM Nepal Chief of Mission and the Nepal Earthquake Response Manager, and under the direct supervision of the Head of Hub, the incumbent will be responsible for:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handling and monitoring all the financial transaction of the field HUB including payment to all outside vendors, utilities and receiving reimbursement figures from staff.
  • Handling and monitoring cash receipt and disbursement as required.
  • Deal with the bank as necessary
  • Reporting weekly financial status of the HUB.
  • In coordination with the Project Manager, reconcile cash as well as prepare monthly report.
  • File all vouchers in numerical order.

General Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Secondary school is required.
  • Minimum two to three years of experience
  • Experience of working in emergency situations highly desirable.
  • Familiar with excel spreadsheets, word processing
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team from varied cultures and professional background
  • Detail oriented, committed, efficient and flexible
  • Willingness to work in a hardship condition.
  • Languages: Fluency in Nepali and English.
