Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Focal Point - 1 position

Classification: SAI, 3 months with possibility of extension, ungraded (equivalent to Grade – 6)

 

Purpose of the post:

The successful candidate will provide specialized support in the monitoring and evaluation of Emergency TB project. S/he will primarily be responsible for monitoring project activities and systematically providing information on progress in order to meet project output and outcome target through managing overall project database.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Develop a systemic monitoring and evaluation of the project; 2) Develop data collection, recording and reporting system; 3) Develop guidelines and standards for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project interventions; 4) Collect relevant project data, analyse and share the findings with the team, donors and stakeholders; 5) Closely coordinate and assist Team Leader in implementation of project activities of both administrative and operational; 6) Liaise and coordinate with the Local Partner Organizations and other Stakeholders for timely implementation of Project activities and provide constructive feedback; 7) Prepare interim reports, final project reports required for NTP, TB REACH and other stakeholders; 8) Collect the trimester wise National TB programme data for both evaluation and control population which is required for reporting to TB REACH; 9) Support the monitoring efforts to ensure full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure and recording reporting tools; 10) Support and assist the emergency response health team in the implementation of emergency response and early recovery projects including coordination and liaison with relevant sections of the ministry of health, relevant government agencies, un partners, and in close collaboration with other IOM teams (including camp coordination camp management, shelter and early recovery); 11) Conduct rapid health assessments and prepare reports when required; 12) Provide training to partner agencies regarding public health and issues related to displacement, return and reintegration when required.

 

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

a) Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent training and practical experience in public health, health promotion, and/or related social sciences, a Master Degree in Public Health is not required but desirable b) Minimum two years of experience in related field. Prior experience in Emergency or TB Programme will be an asset c) Demonstrated ability in dealing with people of various backgrounds, ages, etc.; respect for diversity d) Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds e) Excellent analytical and problem solving skills f) Excellent oral and written communication skills in Nepali and English
