Job Description

Position: Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Section: Regulatory Affairs.
Department: Corporate Services.
Vacancy Reference No: KTM-0190.
Duty Station: Kathmandu.
Number of requirement: 1.
 
This position requires native Nepali language skills in both writing and speaking and it is basically focused for local people of Nepal
 
Main responsibility areas:

  • Provide support in day to day regulatory issues.
  • Make proposals to the management of the company to ensure best strategy for engagement with public authorities and reducing risks.
  • Work on obtaining necessary licenses and permission for smooth operation of Ncell.
  • Participate in actions taken by the company during inspections of the company’s licensed activity held by Nepal Government.
  • Draft, edit company correspondence with state authorities and other operators  in the country.
  • Initiate general analysis of current situation in telecommunication and mobile (cellular) communications market according to the management interests and works on elaboration of the company’s expansion plans.
  • Advise and assist in the negotiation process for the daily business over the implications and processes of proposed actions.
  • Assist and support in Ncell formal company related matters.
  • Contribute drafting of Ncell response and templates as well as policy documents to be used internally/externally.
  • Provide all kind of Government related support to Ncell and its employees.
  • Interact with various Government entities not limited to NTA, MoIC, MoI, Home ministry, Security units, Tax entities etc.
  • Work as active team member and share the knowledge within the team.

Your qualification and experience:

  • Minimum of bachelor degree in Law.
  • At least 10 years of experience with 5 years managerial experience in similar field.

 
Your profile:

  • Experience of working in telecoms is bonus.
  • Advocate license in preferable.
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders.
  • Understanding & preparation of different agreements and legislation.
  • Qualified and good knowledge of judiciary acts and bodies
  • Good knowledge of contract management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Government organization.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good documentation knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and writing in both English and Nepali.
  • Good interpersonal and convincing skills.
  • Good understanding of collaborative approach.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Advanced PC user.
