Job Description

Major Responsibilities

The Psychosocial Counselor will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

  • Works with project team to understand and assist with tracking all work, task, and project assignments.
  • Maintain case documentation.
  • Conduct community-based psychosocial orientation and sensitization programs.
  • Assist to line manager in developing a comprehensive workflow process for project.
  • Identify and provide counseling sessions to the target group.
  • Prepare the counseling session plan and counseling session report.
  • Identify the problems of beneficiaries and make the plan to support what they need.  
  • Coordinate and connect with concerned parties to address beneficiary’s need.
  • Day to day contact with line manager for the project implementation in related work area.
  • Coordination and collaboration with related agency to accomplish the project target.
  • Prepare the case study as per required and maintain the confidentiality. 
  • Prepare the monthly quarterly, semiannually and annually progress report.
  • Follow the inputs and additional responsibilities provided by the project coordinator when it comes to the strategic benefits of the project.

Skills & Abilities

  • Good in reading, writing & speaking English, Nepali and familiar with local language.
  • Good reporting and communication skills
  • Proficient in all aspect of computer application (Ms Packages)
  • Able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Must have familiar with field work.
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in the pressure environment.
  • Dealing capacity and sensitivity while dealing with the victims.
  • Provided psychosocial counseling and healing sessions.
  • Conduct life skill trainings for the victims/survivors.
  • Good Case study developing skill.
