Job Description

  • Work as a focal person for the education support-teaching; coordinating schools for enrollment, follow up of the progress of the students; dealing with their problems about education.      
  • Provide all educational materials to the beneficiaries of the shelters homes in Kathmandu.
  • Follow up of the educational progress of the residents in school.
  • Arrange and conduct Extra curriculum activities for the residents every Friday, with the help from other staffs.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly progress report and report to the Hostel Coordinator along with the challenges/difficulties faced while conducting nonformal education classes.
  • Prepare the yearly report of the educational progress for the donor agencies and submit to Hostel Coordinator.
  • Responsible to keep all documents related to the education-mark sheet; progress report; list of the students etc.
  • Participate actively in the regular case management meeting and help plan activities with the survivor and personnel from other departments for each case.
  • Help on administration-Buying necessaries stationeries and keep records.
  • Maintain the library and keep the records of books, received by the shelter.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the organization.
  • The response the emails as per the requirement.
  • Coordination with the government and non-government agencies for the education support.
  • Conduct the seminar, conference, meeting with the related stakeholder as per the requirement.
  • Considering the value of the Safehome, she must be ready to work during the holidays too.

Job Specification

  •  Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel, word file and quantitative analysis
  •   Demonstrated ability to train and build the capacity of others
  •   Strong interpersonal skills
  •   Bilingual in English (essential)
  •   Capacity to produce high quality briefs and reports in English and Nepali
