Plan and organize production schedules and oversee production process.
Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
Oversee a workforce of more than 500 employees.
Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
Work with production team to develop and track against a production plan reflective of the defined project goals as set by the management.
Anticipate bottlenecks, clarify project priorities, identify risks and escalate issues that cannot be internally resolved.
Clearly define all workflows, communicate documented processes and ensure all practices are being refined and tuned with learnings.
Provide regular status reports and capacity plan updates with the team and the management.
Identify the best tools and technologies to help manage workflow and optimizes their implementation and deployment.
Identify processes that can improve project efficiency and act as a change agent for them.
Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and management.
Improve efficiency, productivity and optimize costs.
Ensure production targets are achieved/exceeded without compromising quality standards.
Postgraduate degree with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Food Technology or other relevant field.
At least 10 years of operational and/or related engineering experience
Previous experience in an alcohol distillery brewery as a process engineer/brew master or in an equivalent role is preferred.
Previous applied experience in management and control of fermentation/distillation systems is essential.
Senior level exposure to the alco-beverage industry with international brands would be an added advantage.
