Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and manage the assembly process on the main production line, ensuring that all production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate the allocation of tasks, assignments, and responsibilities among production line workers, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and efficient production flow.
  • Implement and enforce strict quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to verify that all assembled vehicles meet the predetermined quality and safety standards.
  • Continuously assess and improve assembly processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement. Implement best practices to optimize production efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to production line workers, fostering a culture of teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
  • Identify training needs for production line workers and collaborate with the HR department to ensure that staff are adequately trained on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Address and resolve any production-related issues, defects, or disruptions promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.
  • Collaborate closely with other department heads, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to ensure seamless communication, cooperation, and alignment across departments.
  • Generate regular reports on production metrics, quality control results, and any operational challenges or successes. Present this information to higher management as required.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations, guidelines, and procedures are strictly adhered to by production line workers. Promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage the allocation of materials, components, and tools required for the assembly process, ensuring adequate stock levels and preventing shortages.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency, quality, and overall performance on the main assembly line.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 10 years prior experience in production management, with strong background in automotive assembly is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and manage a diverse team of production line workers.
  • In-depth understanding of assembly processes, quality control measures, and production management techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and team management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
