Job Description

CARE Nepal invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time position in response to the current emergency situation we are faced in Nepal due to the Mega Earthquake. As a humanitarian organization CARE is providing immediate support in the affected areas and requires dynamic and committed individuals to help the organisation provide relief and response.

Grants Reporting Manager (based in Kathmandu)

Key responsibilities:

This position is created to directly support CARE Nepal’s (Earthquake) Emergency Response. The Grants and Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating programme development process related to institutional funding sources and supporting CARE Nepal’s Emergency Team’s efforts to secure consistent funding. The incumbent needs to work closely with districts, program development and finance colleagues, to ensure allocation of targets and resources across secured and pipeline funding. S/he will support negotiations related to programme development with development organizations, private sector agencies and CARE International members. The Grants and Reporting Manager will also contribute to learning processes on developing and designing projects for CARE Nepal’s emergency related and long term programmes.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s degree in Social Work/ Social Sciences or a relevant subject with at least 5 years of minimum experience ocial sector, of which at least three years of experience in program development/ grants management, preferably in Emergency response. Proven experience with multiple key back-donors including USAID, ECHO, UN, AusAid, DFID, as well as SHO, NiN, Humanitarian Coalition and DEC
