Job Description

Compliance and Sub Grants Manager (based in Kathmandu)

Key responsibilities:

The Compliance and Sub Grants Manager is responsible for the overall management of compliance, sub grants management and monitoring units. S/he has close links with project management and finance team while selecting partners and developing monitoring plans. S/he will play a lead role to ensure effective implementation of Sub Grant Management Policy of CARE, maintain proper compliance with the policy of CARE Nepal by performing compliance review in a periodic manner and flagging the issues which are not in compliance with national laws and donor regulation. S/he will oversee financial monitoring of sub grantees based on the risk level as determined by Due Diligence Assessment (DDA) and facilitate different audits of CARE Nepal and its projects.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

CA/ACCA or any other equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of experience in the area of compliance, sub grants management and auditing in development sector.
