Job Description

Gender and Social Mobilization Specialist – Sankalpa (based in Surkhet)

Key responsibilities:

Sankalpa - collaborative commitment for participatory and gender-responsive budgets is a project funded by the European Union, the Austrian Development Cooperation and CARE over a period of three years. The position of Gender and Social Mobilization Specialist (G&SMS) will have the overall responsibility for the technical aspects of the project related to gender and social inclusion and participatory budgeting. S/he will be supporting and coordinating for partners’ capacity enhancement as well as preparing training materials and managing or/and facilitating training to project staff, partners, community groups, peer CSOs and local government stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in gender studies, sociology/anthropology or other relevant subject with at least three years of experience in a similar capacity.
