Job Description

CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 38 years. It currently works in 44 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidence-based advocacy.

CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time position of for ‘Aba Mero Palo’ Project (Tipping Point). This project is a multi-country 3 year and 9 months project that started in 2013 with the support of the Kendeda Fund in which CARE has been addressing the issue of child marriage.

1. Data Management Officer (based in Butwal)
 

Key responsibilities:
The Data Management officer is primarily responsible for entering and translating and maintaining all data for the Tipping Point project S/he will support the MEL Officer for the Tipping Point project to pull data for analyses, to ensure data quality, to support Partner NGO M&E staff to enter data, and to be in charge of documentation at the regular monthly and quarterly review and reflection meetings.. Under the technical supervision of Tipping Point MEL Officer the incumbent will support the Tipping Point program team to develop and manage database, to make sure data is being entered and translated in a timely manner, and to produce basic reports for use by the teams during regular reflection meetings.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in developing/using database, compiling monitoring, evaluation learning information, analyzing data. Previous experience in recording and compiling data, synthesizing and generating evidence and analyzing and compilation of data from multiple sources required. Experience in M&E and/or data management, field monitoring in various development sectors would be an asset.
