Job Description
Conferring with architects and engineers, gains an understanding of the scope and requirements of a project
Represent or assist architects on building sites to make sure that plans and specifications are followed
Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary
Using manual drawings and computer-based applications, such as computer-assisted drafting, the drafter creates two-and three-dimensional renderings of the finished project
Handling and proper record keeping of accessories/raw materials
Site surveys/field operations with engineers
Prepare plans for agency submittal and review
Responsible for ensuring quality control on project drawings
Job Specification
Read and interpret technical documents and forms including work orders, staking sheets, schematics and circuit diagrams
Able to visualize ideas in three-dimensional form
Enjoy technical drawing and working with computers
Ability to work independently and think analytically
Ability to work completely and accurately under time constraints and deadlines
