Job Description

FHI 360, an international NGO, requests applications from qualified individuals to work as a consultant to support on equipment maintenance, preparation/verification of equipment specification, procurement and TA on different microbiology equipment for surveillance site/ staff for Fleming Fund Country Grant for Nepal.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for the following activities.

  •  Provide technical support on various microbiology equipment at the site-level and support on equipment maintenance.

  • Support to strengthen the equipment inventory system.

  • Coordinate with a local vendor for equipment maintenance, validation/calibration as required.

  •  Support FFCGN staff on preparation equipment specification, technical aspects of equipment and procurement process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical engineer and experience in the relevant sector.

  • Experience in working/repairing/maintenance of laboratory equipment including microbiology equipment.

  • Experience in technical specification preparation for the equipment procurement process.
