VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Rural Village Water Resources Management Project (RVWRMP) Phase III works for improved water supply, sanitation, micro-hydro, community-based irrigation, livelihoods and other rural development initiatives in number of local levels in 10 districts of Karnali and Sudur-Paschim Provinces.  Details can be seen in www.rvwrmp.org.np.

RVWRMP Phase III is supported by the Government of Nepal and the Government of Finland/European Union, and the executing agency is MoFAGA/DoLI together with participating Rural Municipalities/Municipalities.

Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizen for the following position:

Position: Water Resource Advisor (WRA)

Duty station: Dailekh with frequent travel to project working  municipalities

Duration: Till 15 September 2021

Job Purpose    

  • The WRA is a lead person for overall coordination with local government, line agencies, civil society organizations etc. in respective district. As a member of the Rural Municipality Project Management Committee (RMPMC), the WRA is to support the Municipalities in planning, coordinating, monitoring, funding and reporting of the RVWRMP III supported activities.

Required Education, Experience and Social competence

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Civil Engineering, Social Sciences, Management or in any other relevant discipline; minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience with proven experience from rural areas, experience in working with local government and other field level partners (NGOs, line agencies etc).Commitments towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.
