Job Description

Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Programme of Helvetas Nepal is supporting initiatives by local communities, organizations and Government of Nepal for water resources management, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) of Karnali State in Dailekh, Surkhet, Kalikot, Jajarkot districts and Sudur Pashchim State in Achham district.

Helvetas Nepal invites applications from interested and committed Nepali citizen for the following positions:

Position: Municipal WASH Officer - Three

Duty station: In one of the working municipality of Dailekh or Jajarkot or Kalikot

Job Purpose    

Take lead role for the implementation of program activities at municipality level for effective delivery and achievement of its outputs.

  • Ensure smooth implementation of programme activities at municipality level.
  • Provide technical backstopping support to partner NGO staff and motivate and guide them in getting the IWRM norms and standards.
  • Monitor the different construction activities and ensure quality & timely completion of planned activities.        

Required Education, Experience and Social competence

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with minimum three years of working experience in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. Experience in conducting feasibility and detail survey, preparing design/estimate of WASH schemes and implementation of community infrastructures/ WASH schemes. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
