Job Description

This position will be based at CIMMYT Nepal Office in Kathmandu.

Specific duties:

  • Oversee implementation of the M&E system in the target areas and make sure the necessary data is gathered to report to USAID.
  • Contribute to narrative reports and other communications materials.
  • Design feedback mechanisms so that the project can learn from developments on the ground.
  • Assist in data quality assessments
  • Support the collection of GPS points for all beneficiaries.
  • Support the field teams with digital data collection and surveys.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal planning documents.

Required academic qualifications, skills and attitudes:

  • Master’s degree in Rural Management or Agricultural Sciences.
  • 5 years’ experience working on agriculture-related projects.
  • Work experience on gender-related issues would be preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish collection and reporting systems for data from a variety of geographic locations and diverse populations.
  • The selected candidate must be very organized, a clear communicator (verbal and written) and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to work in a team, with the ability to work independently if needed.
  • English fluency is a must.
