Job Description

These positions will be based in Mid-West or Far West Nepal.

Specific duties:

  • Provide effective and safe driving services to various locations for CIMMYT staff and others.
  • Ensure insurance coverage of vehicles.
  • Maintain and provide to supervisor an updated record of the vehicle logbooks including fuel usage.
  • Assist team in doing field work, including operating agricultural machinery.
  • Assist team in conducting trainings, organizing field days and exposure visits.
  • Give timely notice on proper servicing and maintenance of vehicles and machines.

Required academic qualifications, skills and attitudes:

  • Minimum SLC (School Leave Certificate) with 5 years of progressive experience with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Clear record of safe driving.
  • Experience with agricultural machinery a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and having motivation to work in the field.
  • Service orientation.
  • Ability to speak English.
