on Vocational Education and Training in Nepal

As part of the Study and Expert Fund (SEF) measures. GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is supporting in drafting strategic and operational options for the expansion of vocational training activities in Nepal, which is in line with the current portfolio strategy of the BMZ. The objective of the SEF measure is to systematically coordinate existing and planned approaches of German Development Cooperation (GDC) to Vocational Education and Training (VET) within the framework of the current bilateral cooperation priority areas in order to support the Nepalese vocational training sector on the prioritized consolidation measures within the existing and planned portfolio. The measure consists of a first scoping study, in which the GDC's current portfolio is analyzed with respect to its orientation towards the development of the Nepalese vocational education and training sector. The study, in particular, identifies ongoing vocational training activities within the GDC's portfolio, identifies current and mid-term vocational sector needs from the perspective of the market' future employer to ensure matching between supply and demand and recommends initial measures to align the GDC portfolio to address these needs. To conduct the proposed scoping study under the SEF Programme, two national experts on having experienced in VET and Organizational development are required.
