Duty Station: Kathmandu Duration: Till June 2018
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance on quality improvement of SRH services and data analysis on SRHR. Adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights (ASRHR) and Maternal and New-born Health(MNH) activities at central and district level
• Supped planning. Implementation. monitoring and documentation of the activities of S2HSP in the areas of quality improvement and data analysis with a focus on ASRH and MNH
• Provide technical assistance to stakeholders on the process of a national set of tools and standards for all levels of health service delivery, focusing on those related to health facility and hospital management in ASRHR, MNH
• Support Senior Advisor in programme design and development, strategic steering and networking, and capacity development and other health sector related to quality
• Support the development strategy for a comprehensive approach to Quality Management and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives in close collaboration with GIZ colleagues working on hospital management and MNH
• Support the implementation of processes at service delivery level through the various interventions in MNH. ASRH and Hospital Management initiatives, ensuring consistency and where feasible a synergistic approach
• Provide technical input and advisory services at implementation level (Regional, District and Health Facility (HF)to improve the quality at service delivery particularly in SRH. ASRH, MNH through implementation of different QI initiatives and toots
• Provide technical input to Family Health Division (FHD) to establish quality of care monitoring mechanism and ensure compliance with standard and clinical protocol for service delivery in ASRH and MNH
Required qualifications and experience:
• Medical doctor with a Master degree in epidemiology (a degree in public health and emergency response would be an asset)
• More than 7 years' work experience in public health programme coordination and management. preferably in Quality Management
• Familiar with the public health systems strengthening with focus on quality assurance and international development aid delivery modalities
• Experience in working with senior officials of partner ministries and regional authorities and successful in facilitating consensus and results within multi-stakeholder settings with various interest groups
• Possess strong social. inter-cultural and communication skills
• Be efficient, results-oriented, reliable and able to work under pressure
• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent Computer skills in data analysis
