Job Description

Programme Officer - Hospital Management and Health Information System

• Support the effective implementation of S2HSP programme activities in the area of hospital management and health information systems in Nuwakot District
• Support Trishuli Hospital in planning and budgeting, quality management, information management, hosplal support services management and provide technical support
particularly in the areas of
   -   Introduction and follow up on Minimum Service Standards, Implementation of an
       appropriate waste management approach
   -   Development of business plans, implementation of TABUCS etc.
   -   Implementation of infection control mechanisms
• Support the introduction of electronic recording in Trishuli District Hospital as well as the roll out of e-reporting (DHIS 2) from all health care facilities in Nuwakot and provide technical support particularly in the areas of-
   -   Provision of technical and managerial expertise and support to the Distnct Hospital in introducing a Medical Record            System
   -   Support in providing necessary trainings for operating an electronic recording system in the hospital
   -   Provision of technical support to the District Health Office/DHO in the roll-out of DHIS2 to health post level
• Assist the S2HSP team to report progress and status of work through the results based monitoring framework and support the knowledge management efforts of the project

Required qualification and experience:
• Master's degree in health care management and/orpublic health, or any other related field and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Proven knowledge and professional experience in health care facility management
• Prior experience in Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Information Communication Technology (ICT) would be an asset
• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop an effective working relationship with stakeholders on a policy and decentralised level and with external development partners
• Demonstrated ability to be a good team player and able to work in a multicultural and multi-sectoral environment
• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
