Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible to the GRPC in order to carry out activities including Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, Reporting and Coordination of the IRW Projects. S/He will specifically be responsible for the smooth functioning of the IRW project. Maintain close working relations with implementing partners, government authorities and donor agencies. S/He must adhere to the principle of LWF Nepal and follow in thoughts, words and deeds.  
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Take lead on programmatic and financial management of the project
  • Provide professional support to partner organizations for result based planning and implementation of the program particularly on livelihoods, WASH and shelter construction.
  • Ensure quality of survey, design, estimate of the construction related activities of the project
  • Liaison with district and national level stakeholders for construction related activities
  • Ensure government policies, guidelines, directives in the project activities design and implementation  
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports as required, and check quality, accuracy, consistency and coherence with work plan and budget;
  • Build capacity of the Implementing Partner as per the requirement to implement project smoothly
  • Visit project sites regularly, observe the status of implementation plans/actions, assess/evaluate program results.  Establish and maintain good rapport and working relation with implementing partners, donors and government authorities.
  • To ensure that all the current LWF policies, procedures, guidelines and those which will come into force in future are strictly adhered to in IRW projects.
  • Other duties as assigned  

Job Specification

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:  
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or Agriculture with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.  
  • Experience in infrastructure construction or livelihood improvement; social mobilization; WASH with project cycle management is essential
  • Good interpersonal, communication, facilitation, coordination and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing skill both in English and Nepali
