DCA is implementing a DFID funded consortium project – “Rapid Community WASH Recovery Project in Dhading and Gorkha District. The project seeks to support local and national government recovery plans to build back better and more resilient and equitable water schemes and WASH infrastructure. The project will ultimately increase access to water; reduce the risk of WASH -related diseases; improve quality of life and increase the availability of information on water sources and other related WASH components in the target VDCs.This is 10 months projects and subject to approval. DCA invites applications from qualified and competent candidates for the position of Procurement and Logistics Officer. The positions will be for 10 months with possibility of extension depending on funding.
Key Responsibilities:
S/he would be mainly responsible for day to day procurement and logistics management and reporting of the project, and provide technical support to the implementing partners, assist program team in procurement management, prepare procurement plan, build capacity of partners in procurement management, coordinate for procurement, review payment documents and ensure DCA’s policies compliance.
Required qualifications and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience (procurement and logistics. Excellent in excel, database management. Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali are essential. Given the time-frame, this position is highly demanding. Therefore, s/he should have sound knowledge on procurement, administration and the delivery mechanism. Individual having sound knowledge on supply chain of construction materials is desirable.
