Job Description

Handicap International Nepal, an INGO working in the field of disability in Nepal invites application from qualified candidates for the following full time position based in Country Office, Kathmandu:

Position: Senior Program Officer-Fundraising (1 position)
Duration of Contract: 1 year with possibility of extension
Position Summary: S/he supports the Head of Program Quality and Development (PQD) in writing project proposals and concept notes for new programs

Job Description (Brief):

  • Devise and research innovative ideas and techniques for preparing various concept notes and proposals; contribute with new ideas for fundraising and identify suitable funding opportunities
  • Regularly monitor donor websites and identify and inform about donor opportunities matching the work of Handicap International
  • Takes the lead in articulating ideas into concept/proposals with inputs from the team and potential partners
  • Incorporate feedbacks from HQ, donors and revise the developed proposals accordingly
  • Support the Head of PQD to capacitate the project staff on inclusion and accessibility aspects through training, consulting and other medium
  • Be active member of PQD’s Learning and Sharing Lab and promote innovative ideas
  • Network with donors, government and INGOs in all relevant forums to raise H.I.’s profile on inclusion and accessibility matters.

Job Requirement:
Master’s degree in Social work, agriculture, development studies, microfinance, or related fields.
An experience of 3-4 years in fundraising, project design and management is desirable.
