Job Description

Human Resources & Administration Manager – 1 position
Job profile: Under the direct supervision of Support Services Coordinator, s/he will be responsible for an overall management of Human Resources (HR) and administrative activities of HI Nepal program.

Key Responsibilities
 Develop and update HR policies and ensure compliance to and implementation of the policies, systems and practices in the entire HR and admin activities;
 Execute and manage the overall recruitment process;
 Oversee the contract and benefits administration in regard to issuance, renewal and revision for employment contracts;
 Conduct training needs assessment, develop and facilitate implementation of the training plan;
 Provide guidance to line managers and staff on performance management with special focus on staff development plans and performance appraisals; and
 Provide supervision and guidance to administrative staff in employee database management, salary and benefits administration and visa management for expatriates and staff going abroad to training or to exposure visits.

Required qualifications and competencies
 Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources Management or related field;
 At least three (3) years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources Management with at least one year of proven experience in a managerial role with involvement in recruitment and employment services, salary administration, and HR policy formulation;
 Good knowledge of Human Resources processes and related tools and updated knowledge of local labor laws;
 Strong communication and inter-personal skills; and
 Excellent standard of spoken and written Nepali and English languages

 Position is based in Kathmandu with travels to other parts of Nepal as required.

 Duration of contract will be 2 years with possible extension.
