Job Description

Skills and Experience
The individual must possess these skills and abilities, and demonstrate that he/she could perform the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities. 

  • Male or female professional with strong knowledge and experience in skills development, entrepreneurship promotion and private sector development in Nepal.
  • Minimum Bachelor in Business or Economics or Social Science and supported by a technical degree relevant to the position.
  • Sound knowledge with different training methodologies, occupational curriculum and manual development.
  • At least 5 years work experience in the development cooperation field with donor agencies, international and national NGOs, experience with SDC projects is an added value.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Abel to work in a team but also individually in a self-sufficient manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the field.

Organization Summary

Swisscontact supports economic, social and ecological development of South Asia by implementing projects which enable people to improve their living conditions on their own initiatives. Swisscontact has been engaged in international development cooperation in the region since 1962, when it started working in Chandigarh, India and established the Indo-Swiss Training Centre.
