VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Swisscontact is a business-oriented independent foundation for international development cooperation. Represented in 38 countries with over 1,200 employees, it promotes - since 1959 - economic, social and environmental development. Swisscontact is planning to implement the "Strengthening the Employment Ecosystem Project" In Province 1. The primary goal of the project is to increase the income of the target groups through productive and sustained employment contributing to poverty reduction and resilient livelihoods. We invite applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions based at Swisscontact Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent visit to field areas in Province 1:

Position: Manager Private Sector Engagement (PSE)

Purpose: The PSE Manager is responsible for the planning, designing, and monitoring of interventions which aim at supporting relevant private sector stakeholders such as labor market insertion service providers, business development service providers, training providers, financial Institutions, and other entrepreneurship support organizations to upgrade their products and services or to develop and implement innovative business models.

Job Specification

Required Education and Experience:

A Master's Degree in relevant field with at least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing similar initiatives (ecosystem development, entrepreneurship development, private sector partnerships); familiar with the government structure, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and have excellent understanding of challenges for MSMEs growth; excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Nepali

Organization Summary

Swisscontact supports economic, social and ecological development of South Asia by implementing projects which enable people to improve their living conditions on their own initiatives.
